Best Intelligems alternatives for Shopify brands that want testing done for them

Best Intelligems Alternatives 2026: eight options compared

By the ClickMint team
Updated October 24, 2026 · About a 9-minute read

Disclosure: this article was written by the ClickMint team. ClickMint is one of the options below. We've linked every fact about other companies to a public source, and we say plainly where another option is the better fit.

Intelligems is one of the best known A/B testing apps on Shopify, and for good reason. It lets brands test prices, discounts, shipping, checkout and content, and it reports on profit as well as conversion (Shopify App Store). If you're reading this, though, you're probably asking a different question: do we want another tool our team has to run, or do we want someone to run testing for us?

That's the lens for this list. We cover self-serve tools first, then teams that run the program for you. For each option we say what it is and who it suits, plus pricing when the company publishes it.

The short answer: best for…

First, a fair summary of Intelligems

Intelligems says it's made for Shopify and doesn't run on other platforms (Intelligems pricing FAQ). Plans are priced per store by monthly order volume, with modules for content, merchandising, pricing, shipping, and checkout and post-purchase. The base "Smart Content" plan starts at $69 a month at the lowest order tier, there's a 14-day trial, and the Smart Pricing modules and Unlimited plan carry a 3-month minimum (Intelligems pricing). It also offers a white glove option where its team handles the testing roadmap, implementation, test setup, reporting and ongoing optimization (Intelligems pricing).

So if price testing is your main goal, Intelligems is hard to beat and you may not need an alternative at all. Brands usually look elsewhere for one of these reasons:

  • They want someone else to own the whole process, from ideas to analysis.
  • Their main questions are about pages and offers, not price points.
  • They want a different pricing model, for example one tied to performance.
  • They're comparing apps on features, support or cost at their traffic level.

ClickMint: for brands that want testing done for them

That's us

Best for

DTC brands with $200k+/mo sales and $15k+/mo ad spend who want more conversions from the visitors they're already paying for, without hiring a CRO team or learning a new tool.

When Intelligems is the better fit

if your main question is "what should this product cost?" or "where should our free shipping threshold be?", a dedicated price and shipping testing tool is designed for exactly that. Intelligems is a strong pick there, and so is ABConvert below.

We'll start with ourselves, then get to everyone else. We're not putting ClickMint first because it wins on every count. It doesn't. We're first because this article is written for brands that don't want to run another tool, and that's exactly what we do.

ClickMint is a done-for-you CRO and experimentation service for DTC ecommerce brands running paid traffic. Our team finds the issues on your store and runs the tests for you, from idea to readout. You don't run software yourselves.

What you can expect:

  • Speed. Our team goes from issue to live test in about 3 hours.
  • Results. +93% revenue per user and +65% conversion vs. control, across all our client experiments.
  • Experience. We've worked with 80+ brands and analyzed $315M+ in ecommerce revenue.
  • Pricing. Performance-based, so what you pay is tied to results.
  • Setup. Your team adds one lightweight snippet. We don't need access to your store, and read access to your analytics is optional.
  • Platforms. Built for Shopify brands, and it also works with WooCommerce and Adobe Commerce. The vast majority of our brands sell on Shopify.
02

Shoplift

Best for

teams who are comfortable in the Shopify theme editor and want to test templates or whole themes.

Shoplift is a Shopify A/B testing app that lets you launch tests from inside the Shopify theme customizer. It tests themes, templates, product pages, landing pages, prices and more, and its Lift Assist feature generates test ideas and variants for you (Shopify App Store). Shoplift says it supports all Shopify themes and adds its own tracking script, so you don't install scripts by hand (Shoplift pricing FAQ).

Pricing model

monthly plans based on site-wide monthly visitors, with a 14-day trial. The Core plan is listed from $99 a month, and there's a managed tier with a dedicated account manager, twice-monthly strategy sessions, a storefront audit and roadmap, and live onboarding (Shopify App Store, Shoplift pricing).

How it compares to Intelligems

both test on Shopify, and both now offer price testing on higher plans. Shoplift leans on theme and template testing, while Intelligems puts more weight on pricing and profit reporting.

03

Visually

Best for

brands that want testing and personalization in one app, with the option to get some of the work done for them.

Visually is an AI-assisted A/B testing and personalization app for Shopify. It covers testing from the homepage through checkout and post-purchase, plus product recommendations and upsells (Shopify App Store).

What makes it relevant here is that its higher plans include hands-on help. Visually's pricing page lists plans that add monthly sessions with its CRO experts, a storefront audit, engineering support hours and a set number of A/B tests executed each month (Visually pricing).

Pricing model

monthly plans that scale with order volume, a 14-day trial, and a free plan for development stores (Shopify App Store, Visually pricing).

04

ABConvert

Best for

brands whose main interest is price and shipping testing, which is the closest overlap with Intelligems on this list.

ABConvert is a Shopify A/B testing app focused on revenue and profit. It tests prices, discounts, shipping thresholds, pages, themes and checkout, and reports revenue per visitor, AOV, conversion and profit using your own costs (Shopify App Store).

A few plan details matter: price tests start on the Growth plan, multi-market price tests start on Scale, checkout UI tests require Shopify Plus, and shipping tests need a Shopify plan with the Carrier Service API (ABConvert docs).

Pricing model

monthly plans by included test orders, with overage per extra 1,000 orders. Plans start at $99 a month, and every plan except Unlimited has a 14-day trial (ABConvert docs).

05

Convert Experiences

Best for

teams with their own CRO or developer resources who want a flexible testing platform that also works beyond Shopify.

Convert Experiences is a general A/B testing platform rather than a Shopify-only app. Its pricing page lists A/B and split URL testing, Shopify price testing, Shopify shipping testing and Shopify theme testing, with no separate add-on modules (Convert pricing).

Convert is clear that it's a tool, not a service. It says none of its plans include development support and that it has never offered in-house testing services. Instead, it refers customers to its agency partners (Convert pricing).

Pricing model

published plans based on monthly tested users. Growth starts at $299 a month billed annually ($399 monthly), and Enterprise is priced on request. There's a 15-day free trial with no card required (Convert pricing).

06

Netalico

Best for

Shopify brands that want one agency team for research, design, development and testing.

Netalico is a Shopify Plus Premier Partner and ecommerce CRO agency for mid-market and enterprise DTC brands from $2M to $50M GMV. Its in-house team runs CRO audits, A/B testing, UX and checkout improvements, and ongoing experimentation (Netalico).

Pricing model

a monthly retainer, which Netalico lists as $2,700 to $10,000 with the average client around $4,500. One-time audits are also available (Netalico).

07

craftberry

Best for

established Shopify brands that want a research-led program run on Intelligems by an outside team.

craftberry is a Shopify CRO agency that has worked only with Shopify and Shopify Plus since 2015. It works with brands typically doing $2M+ in annual revenue and 1,000+ orders a month, and it manages the full CRO program in-house (craftberry).

Here's the interesting part for this article: craftberry lists Intelligems as its A/B testing partner (craftberry). So if you like Intelligems as a tool but don't want to run it yourselves, an agency like this is one way to get both.

Pricing model

usually a one-off audit, then a monthly retainer. craftberry says retainers start at around USD 3,500 a month for research and 3 to 5 A/B tests, with development charged separately. It also describes a minimum-lift guarantee (craftberry).

08

Speero

Best for

larger companies. Speero states its ideal client is a marketing or product leader at a company with $50M+ in annual revenue and leadership buy-in for experimentation (Speero).

Speero is a growth experimentation agency and consultancy. It covers UX research, data science, A/B testing and analytics, and it works with ecommerce and DTC brands as well as SaaS and travel companies (Speero). Its service models range from embedded specialists to full program retainers, plus advisory work (Speero).

How to choose

A simple way to narrow it down:

  • You have a CRO person or team and mainly want to test prices and shipping. Stay with Intelligems, or look at ABConvert.
  • Your team lives in the Shopify theme editor and wants to test pages and themes. Look at Shoplift.
  • You want testing and personalization in one app, with some expert help. Look at Visually.
  • You have developers and want a general platform. Look at Convert Experiences.
  • You want a traditional agency team on retainer. Look at Netalico or craftberry, or Speero if you're a larger company.
  • You run paid traffic, want testing done for you, and would rather pay for performance than a flat fee. That's where ClickMint fits.

One more practical point. Any testing program needs enough traffic to reach a clear answer, whichever tool or team you pick. If your store is still small, research and simple fixes may do more for you than split testing right now.

FAQ

What is the best Intelligems alternative for price testing?

ABConvert is the closest match on this list. It tests prices and shipping on Shopify, along with offers and pages, with price tests starting on its Growth plan. Shoplift and Convert Experiences also list price testing on certain plans.

Is there a done-for-you alternative to Intelligems?

Yes. ClickMint runs testing for you on a performance-based model. The agencies on this list run programs on retainer. Intelligems itself also offers a white glove managed option, and Shoplift and Visually have higher tiers that include expert help.

Does Intelligems work outside Shopify?

Intelligems says it is made for Shopify and does not run on other platforms. If you sell on WooCommerce or Adobe Commerce, ClickMint and Convert Experiences are options that aren't limited to Shopify.

How much traffic do we need for A/B testing?

It depends on your conversion rate and the size of change you're looking for. Several companies on this list, Convert and craftberry among them, say low-traffic stores often can't reach a reliable result. If that's you, start with research and fixes, then test once traffic grows.

Do we have to give ClickMint access to our Shopify store?

No. Your team adds one lightweight snippet. We don't need access to your store, and read access to your analytics is optional.

How is ClickMint priced?

Our pricing is performance-based. Book a call and we'll walk you through how it works for your store.
