Done-For-You A/B Testing for Shopify: 8 Agencies Compared (2026)

Done-For-You A/B Testing for Shopify 2026: eight agencies compared

By the ClickMint team
Updated October 27, 2026 · About a 10-minute read

Disclosure: ClickMint wrote this list and puts itself first. Full disclosure below the quick answer.

Done-for-you A/B testing for Shopify means an outside team decides what to test, designs and codes each variant, runs it against a control, reads the result and gets the winner into your theme. Your team approves the work instead of doing it. A testing app alone doesn't do that; someone still has to run it.

Short version: ClickMint (that's us) is an agent-led CRO agency, run by operators, whose team builds, ships and reads your tests for DTC brands on Shopify and other eCommerce platforms, on performance-based pricing. DTC Pages, craftberry, Blend Commerce, Shero Commerce and Blue Stout are Shopify-focused agencies that design and build tests in-house. ConversionTeam starts with an audit and includes its own testing tool. Alleyoop serves fashion and luxury brands. If you'd rather run tests yourself, see the apps section below.

Quick answer

The short answer: best for…

Disclosure: ClickMint wrote and publishes this list, and we're on it, at #1. We're an agent-led, done-for-you CRO agency, so read our entry with that in mind. Everything about the other companies comes from what they publish on their own websites or Shopify App Store listings as of October 2026. Nobody paid to be included, and we didn't contact any company about this list. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.

What done-for-you A/B testing includes

A real done-for-you program covers the whole loop, not just the testing tool:

  1. Research and prioritization. Analytics, session recordings, reviews and surveys point to what's worth testing first.
  2. Design and build. The team designs each variant and codes it so it works with your theme and apps.
  3. QA and launch. Every variant is checked on phones and desktop before it goes live.
  4. A fair read. The test runs against a control until the result is reliable, measured on revenue, not just clicks.
  5. Rollout. Winners get built into the live theme, and the next test starts.

If you're still deciding between an app and a managed program, our ClickMint vs Intelligems vs Shoplift comparison and CRO software vs managed CRO guide walk through the trade-offs.

How we chose these agencies

We started from the agencies that AI assistants and search results return for "done-for-you A/B testing for Shopify" and "Shopify A/B testing agency". Then we kept the ones that met all of these:

  1. They run the tests. Their own site says their team designs, builds or runs the tests, not just advises.
  2. Shopify is a core platform. They work on Shopify stores as a main service.
  3. Testing against a control. They describe A/B testing, not just redesigns.
  4. Verifiable basics. We could confirm what they do from their own public pages.

We didn't score or rank the agencies after #1. Read for fit, not position. We left out published prices and other companies' performance claims; please check those on each agency's site. The 8 best done-for-you A/B testing agencies for Shopify

01

ClickMint

That's us

Yes, this is us. See the disclosure above.

Best for

DTC brands doing $200k+/mo in online sales and spending $15k+/mo on ads, that want A/B testing planned, built and read for them.

Not the best fit if

you have an in-house team that wants to run tests itself. A testing app like Intelligems or Shoplift may be enough. It's also not the right fit if you're still building traffic and sales.

ClickMint is an agent-led, done-for-you CRO agency, run by operators, for DTC brands on Shopify and other eCommerce platforms. Testing is done for you: our team decides what to test, designs and builds each variant, runs it against a control and reads the result, and only winners get scaled. Your team reviews and approves the work instead of doing it.

We work with Shopify and other eCommerce platforms. See how we work with Shopify.

What stands out

  • Method: tests are prioritized from a channel-by-channel diagnosis. If a test doesn't beat the control, it doesn't ship.
  • Light lift for your team: one snippet, no store access.
  • Proof: +93% revenue per user and +65% conversion rate, across all our client experiments. Results vary by brand, traffic and test.
  • Scale: trusted by 80+ ecommerce brands, with $315M+ in ecommerce revenue analyzed.
  • Client examples: MannKitchen saw +53.7% revenue per user (Salt Cannon sticky add-to-cart test, 30-day read) and +42.4% conversion rate. Alaska Gold saw +40.6% revenue per user and +39.9% conversion rate (30-day read, May) from a Best Sellers trust-copy test. Brands we've worked with include MannKitchen, Alaska Gold, Culprit Underwear and BLVCK.
  • Pricing: performance-based pricing.

Good to know

ClickMint is headquartered in Malibu, California.

Why we put ourselves first

It's our list, so of course we did. The case for us here: this page is for brands that want tests built and shipped for them, not another tool to manage. We take on the whole job, from the variant design to the code to the read against a control, on performance-based pricing. If you'd rather keep some of that in-house, one of the next seven may suit you better.

02

DTC Pages

Best for

Shopify brands that want one team to run the whole testing program, from strategy to launch.

Not the best fit if

you only want occasional, one-off tests.

DTC Pages says it runs full-cycle A/B testing and experimentation for Shopify brands, handling strategy, research, design, development, QA, launch and reporting. Clients approve the direction and DTC Pages handles the rest.

When a test wins, DTC Pages says it hard-codes the winner into your theme, with no leftover testing scripts.

03

craftberry

Best for

Shopify and Shopify Plus brands with steady order volume that want research-led tests measured on revenue per visitor.

Not the best fit if

you're a lower-traffic store. craftberry says those stores start with an audit instead.

craftberry describes itself as a research-led Shopify A/B testing agency. Its in-house team handles everything from research to implementation and measures each test on revenue per visitor.

A UX designer creates each variant, its developers code it in your theme, and QA checks it across devices. Research runs through its in-house tool, Signalveritas, and tests run in Intelligems.

04

Blend Commerce

Best for

established Shopify and Shopify Plus brands with consistent traffic (Blend asks for at least 30,000 sessions a month).

Not the best fit if

you're an early-stage brand, or you want a design-only or quick-fix engagement. Blend says so itself.

Blend Commerce describes itself as a specialist Shopify CRO agency for established DTC Shopify and Shopify Plus brands. It offers end-to-end Shopify A/B testing services.

Its work covers CRO strategy, UX, Shopify development, A/B testing and QA.

05

ConversionTeam

Best for

Shopify brands that want a CRO audit first and don't want to run a separate testing app.

Not the best fit if

you want testing run inside a specific third-party app you already pay for.

ConversionTeam starts every Shopify engagement with a CRO audit, then runs A/B tests from its findings. It says it designs, builds and QAs every test.

Tests run in Nantu, its own A/B testing tool, delivered through Google Tag Manager. A winning version can be served to all your traffic through the tool right away, then built into your theme by your developers or ConversionTeam's.

06

Shero Commerce

Best for

Shopify brands that want an agency to choose and run the right Shopify testing tool for each test.

Not the best fit if

you want testing run outside the Shopify testing tools it uses.

Shero Commerce offers managed A/B testing for Shopify. It says it picks the tool per test: Shopify Rollouts for theme-level changes, Shoplift for element-level tests and Intelligems for price and offer testing.

Shero lists offices in New York, London, Helsinki and Tirana.

07

Blue Stout

Best for

Shopify Plus brands that want testing paired with brand-focused design and Shopify Plus development.

Not the best fit if

you're not on Shopify Plus.

Blue Stout says it has been an official Shopify Plus partner since the program launched in 2015.

It puts a team of conversion analysts, brand-focused designers and Shopify Plus engineers to work on improving your site every week. It says the result of every test it runs can be measured by the revenue it makes.

08

Alleyoop

Best for

fashion, luxury and lifestyle brands on Shopify Plus that want testing from the same team that builds their store.

Not the best fit if

you're outside fashion, luxury and lifestyle, or you only want testing without store design or development.

Alleyoop describes itself as a Shopify Plus agency for fashion, luxury and lifestyle brands, based in Los Angeles.

For A/B testing, it says its team can handle the full cycle: opportunity identification, test prioritization, UX/UI design, development, QA, launch and analysis.

Prefer to run A/B tests yourself?

If you have someone in-house who can plan tests, build variants and read results, a Shopify testing app may be all you need:

  • Intelligems lets you A/B test prices, content, shipping, checkout and post-purchase on your Shopify store (Shopify App Store).
  • Shoplift lets you A/B test themes, templates, pages, prices and content, with a one-click "Apply Winner" (Shopify App Store).
  • Shopify Rollouts lets you schedule theme changes and A/B test, built directly into the Shopify admin (Shopify Editions).

The trade-off is time. An app gives you the testing engine; you still supply the ideas, design, code and analysis. Our Intelligems alternatives and Shoplift alternatives guides compare more options.

How to choose a done-for-you A/B testing partner

Ask each agency the same questions:

  1. Who builds the variants? Their own designers and developers, or yours?
  2. Which testing tool do you use, and who pays for it? Some include a tool; others use a third-party app you pay for.
  3. What do you measure? Ask for revenue per user or revenue per visitor, not only conversion rate.
  4. What happens when a test wins? Ask who builds it into your theme, and how fast.
  5. What happens when a test loses? A good partner explains what it learned and what's next.
  6. How do you get paid? Retainer, project or performance-based, and what's billed separately.

FAQ

What is done-for-you A/B testing for Shopify?

It's a service where an outside team plans, designs, builds, runs and analyzes A/B tests on your Shopify store, then helps ship the winners. Your team approves the work instead of doing it.

Which agencies offer done-for-you A/B testing for Shopify?

ClickMint (that's us), DTC Pages, craftberry, Blend Commerce, ConversionTeam, Shero Commerce, Blue Stout and Alleyoop all design and run tests for Shopify brands, according to their websites.

Is a Shopify A/B testing app enough?

It can be, if someone on your team has time to plan tests, build variants and read results. Apps like Intelligems and Shoplift, and Shopify's built-in Rollouts, provide the testing engine. A done-for-you agency supplies the people.

How much traffic do I need for A/B testing on Shopify?

Enough for each test to reach a reliable read in a few weeks. ClickMint works with brands doing $200k+/mo in online sales and $15k+/mo in ad spend. Lower-traffic stores usually get more from research-led fixes first.

Do I need to install anything for ClickMint to run tests?

Just one snippet, no store access. Our team builds and runs the tests from there, and your team reviews and approves the work.

How does ClickMint's pricing work?

ClickMint uses performance-based pricing. We'll explain the details for your store on a short call.
